About the Role
Vision for Education is seeking a compassionate and proactive SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Romford. This is a full-time, long-term position, providing valuable support to pupils with a range of special educational needs.
The successful candidate will work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to provide one-to-one and small group support, helping pupils to access the curriculum, build confidence, and achieve their learning goals. You will play a key role in creating a nurturing, inclusive classroom environment that promotes every child’s personal and academic development.

Requirements
To be considered for the role of SEN Teaching Assistant (Primary), you will:
Have experience supporting children with SEN (e.g. ASD, ADHD, SEMH, or Speech and Language Needs).
Demonstrate patience, empathy, and excellent communication skills.
Be able to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.
Hold a relevant qualification (e.g. Level 2/3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning) or have equivalent experience.
Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
All staff must hold (or be willing to apply for) an Enhanced DBS check registered on the Update Service.
