1:1 Tutor – Make a Difference in Staffordshire
The Catch-Up Academy is recruiting passionate educators who want to change lives one student at a time.

About the Role
You will work with students who:
*
Have been refused a school place
*
Struggle to engage in mainstream education
Your role will be to:
*
Deliver high-quality 1:1 tuition in English, Maths, and Science
*
Adapt lessons to meet individual learning needs
*
Rebuild trust, confidence, and motivation
*
Support both academic progress and emotional wellbeing
This is a highly rewarding position where your impact goes far beyond the classroom.
Hours & Flexibility
*
6–15 hours of tuition per week
*
All sessions take place during school hours (9:00 AM – 3:00 PM, Monday to Friday)
*
Evenings and weekends are free
*
Additional hours available if you want more students
*

Who We’re Looking For
*
Qualified Teacher Status (desirable, not essential)
*
Experience teaching or tutoring children, especially those with SEN, SEMH, or behavioural needs
*
Confident working independently and managing a flexible schedule
*
Strong communication skills to build rapport with learners and families
*
Resilient, patient, and creative in approach
*
Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain) and safeguarding knowledge essential
*
Driving licence and access to transport often required
