About the Role
As our Accountant, you'll play a key role in managing all aspects of UK financial operations. Working closely with the EU Finance Director and senior UK leadership, you’ll lead the preparation of financial reports, forecasts, audits, and ensure alignment with international compliance standards.
You'll be instrumental in implementing internal controls, supporting software integration projects across EU and US operations, and providing strategic insight to department managers and stakeholders.
This is a part time, hands-on role that demands leadership, precision, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee accounting operations: nominal ledger, purchase/sales ledgers, stock, purchase orders
* Conduct inventory valuation and fixed asset reconciliation
* Prepare budgets and forecasts in coordination with the EU Finance Director
* Deliver accurate, timely monthly and year-end financial reports
* Liaise with external auditors and support regulatory compliance and reporting
* Manage banking relationships and financial software implementation
* Ensure tax filings, quality control, and adherence to company accounting policies
* Contribute to the development and harmonisation of EU/US financial processes
Required Skills & Experience
* Advanced degree in accounting and ACCA (or equivalent chartered qualification)
* Minimum 5 years of accounting and financial experience
* Extensive knowledge of UK financial standards and compliance
* Experience in risk planning and emergency management frameworks
* Skilled in MS Office (especially Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
* Proven success with finance software implementation and reporting systems
* Highly organised and capable of managing multiple priorities with precision
