Pertemps are working with a supportive and forward-thinking Adults Social Care Locality Team in Kingston Upon Thames, to find an experienced Adults Social Worker who can work collaboratively with healthcare professionals. The right candidate will provide effective care and an approach which enables people to live independently within their local community.
Adults Social Worker Role Overview:
As part of this innovative service, you will play a crucial role in the effective and targeted support to the most vulnerable residents to enable them to fulfil their potential and improve the quality of their lives. Empowering people to maintain good mental health and well being with access to information, advice and guidance on local activities and services that will enable them to lead healthy lifestyles.
Adult Social Worker Key Responsibilities:
To ensure compliance with the professional code of conduct and fulfil obligations under the relevant legislation, including the Care Act 2014, CHC, the MCA and the MHA.
To be fully responsible for managing a caseload including people with complex needs, (including mental health).
To be responsible for accepting referrals, undertaking screening, and carrying out assessment of needs for people.
To apply eligibility criteria as identified in the Care Act and work in accordance with its requirements to ensure people's well being. To assist vulnerable adults to be protected and safeguarded and ensure that they are effectively managing their own risks and capacity wherever possible.
Ensure that a strengths based, person centred approach is central to your interventions
Candidate Requirements for the Adults Social Worker role:
A recognised social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent).
At least 3 years’ post-qualifying experience
Current registration with Social Work England
Experience in adult social care
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team
