Job Summary:
Our Client is seeking to appoint a highly experienced Aircraft Engine Control Systems Design Expert to join their team and contribute to the powerplant control system design for their civil passenger aircraft programs. This role is primarily responsible for engine system architecture design, advanced control law design, E3 - Electrical, Electronic, Electromagnetic integration design, and airworthiness compliance activities. The ideal candidate will possess substantial experience in aircraft engine control systems design and engine airworthiness certification.
Key Responsibilities:
Be responsible for the overall architecture design, functional definition, and requirements decomposition of the aircraft propulsion control system FADEC - Full Authority Digital Engine Control.
Design and verify core control algorithms for engine condition monitoring, thrust management, transient state control, limit protection, fault diagnosis, and handling.
Lead the E3 design and verification of the control system, including Electromagnetic Compatibility EMC, lightning protection, and power quality, ensuring stable operation in complex electromagnetic environments.
Develop and execute verification and validation plans, generate necessary certification evidence, and support the system through airworthiness certification with aviation authorities.Required Skills & Experience:
Master's degree or higher in Aerospace Propulsion, Control Science and Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in aircraft engine control system design, with experience working for a primary engine or aircraft manufacturer.
Proficient in advanced control theory; thorough understanding of FADEC system architecture, functionality, and safety requirements. Must master core engine control modes and have a clear understanding of engine interactions with other aircraft systems.
Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience in EMC , lightning protection design and testing, rectification. Familiar with aviation regulations and standards, possessing substantial airworthiness experience. Good command of English for technical communication Mandarin Chinese skills are a plus.
Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to work independently in a multi-disciplinary team. Initial contracts of 1-3 years offered with potential to extend.
