We’re recruiting on behalf of a leading brand in the flooring industry for an experienced Commercial Specification Manager to cover the South East region. This is a fantastic opportunity for a proactive sales professional with strong commercial awareness and experience in specification-led projects within the construction, flooring, or interiors sector.
You’ll be responsible for developing relationships with Architects, Designers, Contractors, & Developers, managing the full project cycle from specification through to completion.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and grow relationships within your territory, driving specification opportunities from concept to delivery.
Build and maintain a robust project pipeline through proactive business development.
Deliver engaging product presentations and sales meetings, both face-to-face and digitally.
Take ownership of sales performance, margins, and customer satisfaction in your area.
Work collaboratively with National Specification Managers to secure large-scale projects.
Use CRM systems effectively for pipeline management, forecasting, and reporting.
Skills & Experience
Proven track record in specification sales within flooring, construction, or interior finishes.
Excellent relationship-building, negotiation, and presentation skills.
A focus on driving good quality, results-oriented behaviours with a flexible 50/50 balance of working from home and being on the road
Strong commercial acumen with the ability to manage complex sales cycles.
Comfortable using digital tools to support customer engagement and reporting.
Self-motivated and organised, with the ability to work independently and as part of a wider sales team.
Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across the South East region.
