Job Title: Asbestos Surveyor / Analyst
Location: Glasgow, Central Scotland
Salary/Benefits: £25k - £42k + Training & Benefits
Our client is a UKAS accredited Asbestos company, with a strong presence across the Central Belt of Scotland. They are seeking an Asbestos Surveyor / Analyst, to thoroughly service commercial, domestic and local authority contracts. As they are able to provide excellent in-house training, they are able to consider candidates who can undertake singular surveying or analytical duties. This role would suit a hardworking candidate who has a keen interest in the industry, in addition to strong technical knowledge. Salaries and benefits are competitive.
The role will involve travel across: Glasgow, Giffnock, East Kilbride, Airdrie, Bellshill, Motherwell, Shotts, Larkhall, Carluke, Stonehouse, Renfrew, Paisley, Clydebank, Cumbernauld, Irvine, Kilmarnock, Dumbarton, Falkirk, Galston, Troon, Ayr, Lanark, West Kilbride, Ardossan, Largs, Johnstone, Port Glasgow, Bathgate, Livingston, Bo'ness.
Experience / Qualifications:
- Must have strong experience working within the Asbestos industry
- Excellent working knowledge of UKAS, HSG 264 and HSG 248 guidelines
- Will hold the BOHS P402, P403 & P404 (or RSPH equivalent)
- Flexible to travel as required
- Good literacy and IT proficiency
- Comfortable liaising with clients
The Role:
- Undertaking asbestos surveys (including management, refurbishment and demolition) across a range of commercial sites
- Collecting ACM samples from site
- Undertaking 4 stage clearances as well as personal, smoke, reassurance, background and leak air testing
- Producing thorough reports, including site plans / drawings
- Wearing correct PPE whilst on site and adhering to safety guidelines
- Meeting with clients to provide technical advice
- Working on a varied portfolio of asbestos removals projects
- Overseeing compliance across removals projects
- Maintaining excellent service standards
