T&K Associates are currently recruiting on behalf of our Client in Ashby-de-la-Zouch for a Assembly Team Leader to join their friendly team on a permanent basis.

We are looking for a hands-on and driven AssemblyTeam Leader to support the launch and ongoing delivery of a major new wiring and electro-mechanical assembly project within the company.
Assembly Team Leader Job Details & Benefits;
* Monday – Friday 6am-2pm or 8am-4pm
* £31,200 per annum starting salary
* Office based role
* 28 days holiday to start including bank holidays increasing with length of service to a maximum of 33 days including bank holidays and the option to purchase additional days

Assembly Team Leader Job Details;
* Lead and support the day to day running of the wiring team.
* Help build and develop a positive, organised and high performing production environment.
* Co ordinate activities across ; kitting, mechanical assembly, wire preparation, wiring and loom assembly, final assembly, inspection and testing, packing and despatch.
* Work closely with Wiring Engineering and Operations to improve workflow, build methods and production efficiency.
* Support production directly when required, including hands on assembly and wiring work.
* Monitor build progress and help remove production blockers quickly.
* Ensure quality standards and workmanship are maintained throughout the process.
* Help establish scalable processes and working standards as the department grows.
* Assist with training and development of operators within the team.
* Maintain high standards of organisation, housekeeping and communication.
* Support continuous improvement activities across the project.
Assembly Team Leader Person Specification;
Essential;
* Previous experience leading or supervising within a manufacturing or assembly environment.
* Strong organisational and communication skills.
* Hands on attitude and willingness to support production activities directly.
* Ability to manage multiple stages of production simultaneously.
* Good problem solving ability and attention to detail.
* Experience working within fast paced production environments.
Desirable;
* Experience within cable assembly, wiring, electro mechanical assembly or electronics manufacturing.
* IPC/WHMA-A-620 knowledge or experience.
* Experience working with production documentation, build packs or ERP systems.
* Understanding of inspection and testing processes.
