Location: Manchester
Salary: Dependent on experience - circa £55,000+
Job Type: Permanent - office based 4 days per week, 1 day WFH

My client are a multidisciplinary design studio delivering thoughtfully crafted interiors, branding and graphic design across hospitality, commercial and lifestyle sectors. Known for their refined, design-led approach, the studio creates highly considered environments and experiences, combining creativity with strong strategic thinking and technical delivery.

The studio is now looking to appoint an experienced Associate/ Senior Technical Designer to play a key role in leading the technical delivery of projects across a growing portfolio of work.

This role is ideally suited to someone with a strong background in Interior Architecture and Architecture who enjoys overseeing projects from design development through to construction. The successful candidate will bring a high level of technical expertise, ensuring projects are delivered to the highest standards whilst supporting and mentoring the wider team.

Working closely with the design leadership team, you will be responsible for managing technical project delivery, producing and reviewing detailed drawing packages, and ensuring compliance with current building regulations and industry standards. Whilst this is a predominantly technical role, an appreciation for design quality and the ability to collaborate with creative teams is essential.

We’re Looking For:

  * Significant experience within Interior Architecture, Architecture or Technical Design roles

  * Previous experience operating at Senior or Associate level within a design-led studio environment

  * Strong technical tender package and construction documentation experience

  * Proven ability to produce and review detailed technical drawing packages and construction information

  * Comprehensive understanding of UK Building Regulations and statutory requirements

  * Strong knowledge of technical detailing, material specifications and construction methodologies

  * Experience coordinating with consultants, contractors and wider project teams throughout delivery stages

  * Ability to oversee projects from technical design through to completion on site

  * Experience mentoring and supporting junior and mid-level team members

  * Excellent communication and client-facing skills

  * Strong problem-solving and coordination abilities

  * Commercial awareness and confidence managing multiple projects simultaneously

  * Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, AutoCAD, SketchUp and Enscape
