Axon Moore is partnering with a well-established and rapidly growing accountancy firm (North-West top 20 firm) to recruit an Audit Senior. The firm provides a full audit service to a diverse portfolio of private sector clients. You’ll benefit from a mix of client-site, office and home-based work, giving you the flexibility to perform at your best.
The role:
Reporting to an Audit Manager, you’ll take ownership of a client portfolio and play a hands-on role in delivering high-quality audits. Key responsibilities include:
Leading audit planning, fieldwork and completion in line with methodology and deadlines
Supervising and supporting junior team members to ensure high standards
Acting as the day-to-day client contact, building strong relationships and addressing queries
Preparing and reviewing statutory accounts, ensuring compliance with reporting frameworks
Assessing risks, identifying control weaknesses and proposing improvements
Presenting clear audit findings and contributing to the firm’s reputation for excellent client service
About you:
ACA/ACCA qualified or nearly qualified (study support available if required)
Minimum of 3 years’ audit experience in practice
Strong technical knowledge, with confident use of accounting systems and Excel
Personable, professional and able to build rapport with clients and colleagues alike
Organised, accurate and comfortable managing multiple priorities
