Are you a Qualified Teacher or an experienced Tutor with experience supporting autistic children and young people?
New Chapter Tuition is recruiting passionate education professionals to deliver personalised 1:1 tuition and educational support for learners aged 5–25 across South East London.
This rewarding role offers the opportunity to work closely with autistic learners, helping them build confidence, develop independence, re-engage with learning, and achieve positive educational outcomes through tailored support.
Many of the learners we support are unable to access full-time education and may require additional support due to Autism (ASC), SEND, anxiety, school avoidance, EHCP-linked needs, communication differences, sensory needs, or other barriers to learning.
About the Role
You will deliver engaging and personalised 1:1 tuition and educational support, adapting your approach to meet each learner's individual strengths, interests, communication style, and learning profile.
Sessions are delivered on a 1:1 basis, allowing you to focus on building positive relationships and creating meaningful learning experiences.
The Role Includes
• Delivering personalised 1:1 tuition and educational support
• Supporting learners across Primary, KS3, GCSE and Functional Skills pathways where appropriate
• Adapting learning activities to individual needs, interests, and sensory profiles
• Building positive and trusting relationships with learners
• Supporting engagement, confidence, independence, and emotional regulation
• Monitoring progress and completing session feedback
• Working collaboratively with families, schools, Local Authorities, and other professionals

What We're Looking For
✔ Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and/or substantial tutoring experience
✔ Experience supporting autistic children and young people
✔ Experience working with SEND and EHCP-linked needs
✔ A patient, flexible, and learner-centred approach
✔ Strong communication and relationship-building skills
✔ Enhanced DBS (Update Service preferred) or willingness to obtain one
✔ Right to work in the UK
