About the Role: As an Autism Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils with autism and communication challenges, working closely with teachers, therapists, and other support staff to create a safe and nurturing learning environment. What We’re Looking For: * Graduates with a degree in Psychology, Speech & Language Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Health & Social Care, or related fields. * Experience working with children or adults with learning disabilities, autism, or communication needs (voluntary or paid experience is welcomed). * A compassionate and patient approach, with a genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs. * Comfortable providing personal care and feeding support as part of a nurturing approach to learning. * Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with teachers and therapists. * GCSEs in Maths & English (Grade C and above). Autism Support Worker – Reading – Education and Training - Autism Support Worker – Reading As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teaching staff to provide classroom support, deliver targeted interventions, and help ensure that all students can access the curriculum and achieve their potential. Key Responsibilities: * Support students in the classroom, both one-to-one and in small groups, under the direction of the class teacher. * Assist in the preparation and organisation of learning resources. * Help manage classroom behaviour in line with the school’s behaviour policy. * Provide additional support to students with SEND or learning barriers. * Contribute to the wider school community, including pastoral and extracurricular support where required.
