Autism Teaching Assistant

Salary: £90 - £95per day (depending on experience)

We are currently seeking a compassionate and committed Autism Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive SEN school in the LS10 area of Leeds. This role is ideal for someone with experience working with children with autism or other special educational needs (SEN), either in a school setting or through personal experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide support to pupils with Autism and other SEN needs
Supporting pupils of EHCPs
Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to adapt learning materials
Foster a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment
Use strategies such as PECS, Makaton, or sensory-based approaches (training can be provided)Requirements:
Experience working with children with Autism or SEN (school-based or personal)
A calm, patient, and resilient approach
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
