Job Advert: Behaviour Lead Mentor Location: Orpington, Kent Salary: £34,998 - £36,048 FTE + Performance and Loyalty Bonus + Pension + Wellbeing Benefits Contract Type: Full-time, Term-time plus 10 days We are looking for a Behaviour Lead Mentor to join a supportive secondary school in Orpington. This role is ideal for someone passionate about behaviour management and mentoring students, with a focus on maintaining a calm, productive learning environment. Key Responsibilities Lead the Internal Exclusion/Repair and Restore room, supporting students who need time away from class. Ensure students in the room remain engaged with their work and maintain a positive environment. Liaise with teaching staff, parents, and external agencies to ensure smooth reintegration of students into mainstream lessons. Develop and implement behaviour interventions and support strategies. Mentor students with behavioural concerns, especially those on Behaviour Boundary 5 or 6. Support the school's Behaviour for Learning policy and assist with student safety and wellbeing. About You GCSE Maths and English (Grade C or above, or equivalent). Experience working with students who exhibit challenging behaviour. Strong communication skills and the ability to work with students, staff, and parents. Knowledge of child protection and safeguarding procedures. Two years' experience in an educational setting, particularly in behaviour management. Working Hours 8:00 am - 4:15 pm during term time. 10 additional days in the holidays (8:00 am - 4:00 pm) for support activities. What We Offer Competitive salary and bonus scheme.
