Job Description

A supportive secondary school in Hackney is seeking a resilient and motivated Behaviour Mentor to join their pastoral support team. This long-term role starts immediately and offers the chance to work with students who need extra guidance in order to thrive.

What you'll be doing:

Supporting students with behavioural needs both inside and outside the classroom
Building positive relationships and acting as a role model for young people
Helping teachers implement strategies to maintain a positive learning environment
Running small intervention groups and 1:1 mentoring sessionsThis role would suit candidates who:

Have previous experience working with young people in a school, youth work, or mentoring capacity
Are confident, approachable, and able to remain calm under pressure
Want to gain experience in pastoral care or progress towards a career in teaching or counsellingThe school places a strong emphasis on student wellbeing and staff development, making this a great environment to grow professionally.
