Cogent Staffing are recruiting for a Business Development Manager for our client based in Halifax, working in the fire and security industry. This is a permanent position offering a salary of £40,000 plus a competitive commission structure. The ideal candidate will be driven and proactive, with a passion for driving business growth.
Shifts & Salary:
* Monday to Friday
* 8 AM - 4:30 PM
* 1 day a week in Halifax office, with the rest of the week offering hybrid working
* £40,000 plus competitive commission structure
* Company car or £500 per month car allowance
Duties:
* Drive new business by identifying and pursuing opportunities in the fire and security sector.
* Generate leads through networking, industry events, and market research.
* Sell a range of fire and security services, tailoring solutions to meet client needs.
* Travel to meet clients and customers, ensuring strong relationships are developed and maintained.
* Collaborate with internal teams to ensure service delivery aligns with client expectations.
* Prepare and deliver presentations to potential clients, showcasing company offerings.
* Maintain accurate records of sales activities and client interactions in the company CRM system.
Requirements:
* Proven experience in a business development or sales role, ideally within the fire and security industry (industry experience is preferred but not essential).
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
* Strong ability to build and maintain client relationships.
* Full UK driving licence and own transport.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing time effectively to meet deadlines.
* Familiarity with CRM software and sales tracking tools.
