Deputy Manager - Residential Care Home (Elderly & Dementia) - £35,000/year
Location: Southampton
Contract: Full-time (40 hours/week) - 24 hours on the floor, 16 hours office-based
We are seeking a dedicated and ambitious Deputy Manager to join our elderly residential care home, specialising in dementia care. This is an ideal opportunity for a Team Leader ready to step up or a highly experienced Senior Carer looking to advance their career.
Role Overview: As Deputy Manager, you will support the Home Manager in delivering high-quality care and leading the team. You'll split your time between hands-on care and administrative responsibilities, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations and excellent resident outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and support care staff on the floor (24 hours/week)
Manage rotas, care plans, audits, and compliance (16 hours/week office-based)
Support with safeguarding, risk assessments, and staff supervision
Promote a person-centred approach to elderly and dementia care
Assist with pre-admissions and liaise with families and professionals
Salary & Benefits:

Requirements:
Minimum Level 3 in Health & Social Care
Ideally NVQ Level 4 or working towards NVQ Level 5
Experience in elderly and dementia care
Strong leadership and communication skills
