Our client, a long-established and highly respected law firm, is seeking an experienced Clinical Negligence Solicitor to join its growing Dispute Resolution and Personal Injury team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a talented solicitor with a passion for achieving justice for clients who have suffered as a result of medical negligence. The successful candidate will join a supportive and collaborative environment, handling high-quality claimant clinical negligence matters while benefiting from genuine opportunities for career progression.
The Role
You will manage a varied caseload of claimant clinical negligence matters, supporting clients through complex and often sensitive claims with professionalism, empathy and expert legal advice.
Your responsibilities will include:
Managing a caseload of clinical negligence claims from inception through to conclusion
Investigating claims and assessing liability, causation and quantum
Obtaining and reviewing medical records and expert evidence
Drafting correspondence, witness statements, schedules of loss and court documents
Negotiating settlements and representing clients throughout the claims process
Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, medical experts, barristers and other professionals
Supporting business development initiatives and helping to raise the profile of the department
About You
We are seeking a qualified Solicitor with approximately 5 years' PQE and demonstrable experience handling claimant clinical negligence matters.
The successful candidate will possess:
Strong technical knowledge of clinical negligence law and procedure
Experience managing a varied caseload with minimal supervision
Excellent analytical and investigative skills
Outstanding client care and communication abilities
A compassionate and empathetic approach when dealing with vulnerable clients
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
The ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
