Are you upbeat, kind, and ready to make a real difference? We’re looking for a male Support Worker to join our community support team in Throop, Bournemouth on a full-time basis.
Due to the needs of the person we support, we can only consider male candidates with experience in Health and Social care including Autism or Challenging behaviour.
You will need to hold a Full UK driving license, however, access to your own vehicle is not essential.
Due to the needs of the person this role will be supporting we can only accept applicants who have a clean driving license with no points. This is crucial in order to be able to drive any vehicle required. We can support applicants by being able to share their license status online – it takes one minute over the phone with us!

The role
Daniel communicates with PECS cards, signs, and gestures, giving him his own unique way of sharing his thoughts and preferences.
He enjoys a wide range of activities—from peaceful walks near Throop Mill to time spent in the garden, bouncing on his trampoline or unwinding on the swing. He likes listening to music, and one of the highlights of his week is visiting his family, where they head out to enjoy a little treat.

A day in the life of a Support Worker would include:
* Sharing your skills and life knowledge with the people we support to enable good life skills and independence when living in the community
* Maintaining consistent and accurate records regarding care plans, finances, appointments and medication
* Following the support plan in plan for each person we support to enable the person to feel comfortable and happy, adapting this as required based on change in behaviour
* Providing some elements of personal care from personal hygiene prompts, helping to bath and wash, medication
Hours
39 hours per week
This would be a mixture of shifts between 7am – 10pm, Monday – Sunday.
This role would include alternate weekends and sleep ins (sleep ins come with an additional payment)
