Are you looking to gain experience in secondary schools or seeking flexible work within education? We are currently recruiting enthusiastic and reliable Cover Supervisors to work across a range of secondary schools in Worksop on day-to-day, short-term, and long-term assignments.

This is an excellent opportunity for graduates, aspiring teachers, experienced education professionals, or individuals with strong behaviour management skills who are passionate about supporting young people in education.

The Role

As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising classes during the short-term absence of the regular teacher. You will deliver pre-set work, manage classroom behaviour, and ensure students remain engaged in their learning.

Responsibilities

Supervising whole classes in the absence of a teacher
Delivering pre-planned lessons and ensuring students stay on task
Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies
Providing support and guidance to students where required
Reporting back to teaching staff on student progress and behaviour
Creating a positive and safe learning environment
Assisting with general school duties when needed

Requirements

Experience working with young people is desirable
Strong communication and classroom management skills
Confident, adaptable, and professional approach
Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff
A genuine interest in education
Degree qualification preferred but not essential
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
