Daily Supply SEN Teaching Assistant
Pay: £90-£120 per day (DOE)
Hours: Mon-Fri, 8:30 - 16:00
Contract: Daily Supply / Term Time Only
Location: East London, Dagenham
We are seeking a flexible and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to work on a daily supply basis within SEN schools based in the Dagenham area. This role involves supporting pupils aged 4-19 years with a range of complex needs, including SLD (Severe Learning Difficulties) and PMLD (Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties), alongside associated social, emotional, and learning needs.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about inclusive education who is looking for flexible, hands-on experience supporting young people with additional needs.
SEN Teaching Assistant Role:
Supporting pupils with a variety of SEN, including SLD, PMLD, SEMH and additional learning needs
Providing 1:1 and small group support depending on daily requirements
Assisting with personalised learning activities, care routines, and sensory sessions
Supporting pupils' communication, engagement, and emotional regulation
Working alongside class teachers and specialist staff to maintain a safe and structured environment
Building positive relationships to promote pupils' confidence, independence, and wellbeing
SEN Teaching Assistant Requirements:
A genuine passion for supporting children with complex and profound needs
A patient, adaptable, and proactive approach (essential for supply work)
Experience with SLD and/or PMLD (desirable but not essential)
Experience with manual handling, personal care, or sensory support (preferred)
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN (desirable)
