The Role
We’re seeking an experienced Design Office Manager to lead and develop our design team (4 designers + 2 trainees). You’ll oversee design delivery from concept through to fabrication, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with the highest industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
· Lead, mentor, and manage the design team.
· Oversee 3D modelling and detailed design in SolidWorks.
· Manage FARO point cloud integration for accurate as-built models.
· Coordinate with project, engineering, and fabrication teams.
· Maintain CAD standards and drive process improvements.
About You
· Proven experience leading a design team in an engineering or fabrication environment.
· Skilled in SolidWorks and handling point cloud data.
· Background in structural steelwork within utilities, nuclear, or defence sectors.
· Strong communication, organisation, and leadership skills.
