About the Role
Long Term Futures are working with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Brent to recruit an SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils across Early Years and Key Stage 1.
This is an excellent opportunity for a caring and proactive individual who is passionate about supporting young children with additional needs. The role will involve working with pupils with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and developmental delays, helping them access learning, build confidence, and achieve their individual targets.
Key responsibilities include:
Providing 1:1 and small group SEN support across Early Years and KS1
Supporting pupils with communication, social interaction, and emotional regulation
Delivering targeted interventions under the guidance of the class teacher and SEND team
Encouraging engagement through play-based and structured learning activities
Supporting behaviour management and positive learning habits
Assisting with transitions and daily classroom routines
Building strong relationships with pupils, staff, and familiesAbout the School

Has experience working with children with SEN or additional needs

Is committed to helping children achieve their full potentialApplications are welcomed from candidates with degrees or backgrounds in psychology, speech and language, youth work, mental health, childcare, education, or other related fields relevant to SEN support.
