Job Title: Early Years Practitioner (EYP) Location: Rotherham Salary: £86 – £100 per day (depending on experience) Start Date: September 2025 Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time Are you a caring and committed Level 2 or 3 Early Years Practitioner looking to nurture young minds during their most formative years? GSL Education are currently recruiting a passionate Early Years Practitioner (Level 2 or 3) to join warm and inclusiveEarly Years settings in Rotherham. This role is ideal for individuals who are enthusiastic about supporting early childhood development and making a lasting impact on young learners’ lives. Role Overview: As an Early Years Practitioner, your role will involve fostering a nurturing, engaging, and secure environment where young children can grow through play and discovery. You’ll collaborate closely with fellow staff members and families to support each child’s unique development, ensuring a high standard of care and early education is consistently maintained. Responsibilities as an Early Years Practitioner: Assist in implementing the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum effectively. Encourage positive behaviour, promote independence, and support social skills development. Observe, assess, and document children’s progress with accuracy and care. Collaborate with team members to design and deliver engaging learning activities. Build and maintain strong, supportive relationships with parents and carers. Requirements for Early Years Practitioner: Must hold a Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Childcare or Early Years Education. Demonstrate a warm, patient, and nurturing attitude towards young children. Have a good understanding of safeguarding practices and the EYFS framework. Previous experience in a nursery or early years classroom is desirable. An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply) and an up-to-date CV covering the last 10 years (with any gaps explained).
