Electrical Design Engineer Location: Dartford, Kent Salary: Up to £50,000 per annum + Benefits My client are a leading multi-disciplinary building services consultancy based in Dartford, is seeking a talented Electrical Design Engineer to join its dynamic and growing team. With a strong portfolio of high-profile commercial, residential, healthcare, and educational projects across the UK, This company offers an exciting opportunity for a driven engineer to contribute to impactful, large-scale developments. About the Role The Electrical Design Engineer will be responsible for the design, specification, and coordination of electrical building services systems. This role requires a hands-on, detail-oriented professional with the ability to deliver high-quality designs across multiple sectors. Key Responsibilities * Design and develop electrical systems, including lighting, power, fire alarms, and security systems * Prepare detailed design drawings, calculations, and specifications * Coordinate with mechanical and public health engineers as well as architects and contractors * Undertake site surveys, inspections, and monitor installation works * Ensure compliance with all current regulatory standards and client requirements * Assist in project delivery from concept through to completion * Liaise directly with clients, attend design meetings, and provide technical support Requirements * Degree or HNC/HND in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering * Minimum of 3 years experience in electrical design within the building services sector * Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Dialux/Relux, and ideally Revit MEP * Strong knowledge of UK Building Regulations and relevant electrical standards * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills * Ability to manage time effectively and handle multiple projects Projects and Clients They work on a diverse range of projects across various sectors, including: * Healthcare: NHS Trust Hospitals and mental health facilities * Education: Universities, colleges, and school refurbishments * Commercial & Residential: Large-scale office developments and high-rise residential complexes * Public Sector & Civic Buildings: Community centres and public service facilities Notable Projects Include: * Redevelopment of Queen Mary's Hospital in Sidcup * Multi-phase refurbishment of Barking & Dagenham College * London Borough of Redbridge Housing Schemes * Design of integrated M&E systems for Battersea Power Station Phase 3 residential blocks Benefits * Competitive salary up to £50,000 depending on experience * Generous holiday allowance * Private healthcare * Pension scheme * Ongoing training and professional development * Support towards chartership * Friendly, collaborative office environment with regular social events If you're interested in this position at a flourishing M&E Contractor, contact Jake Troubridge on (phone number removed) or email (url removed) Eden Brown is committed to equality in the workplace and is an equal opportunity employer
