Expire in: a month
You know that feeling when you fix something that’s been down for hours, and suddenly the entire production line starts moving again?
Yeah — that. That’s the buzz we’re offering here.
Are you an Electrical Maintenance Engineer who actually likes getting their hands dirty. Someone who doesn’t need to “check with head office” before picking up a multimeter.
The site runs round the clock, so this isn’t a job for people who like sitting quietly and watching the clock tick. You’ll be keeping things running — troubleshooting, fault-finding, doing preventative maintenance, and generally making sure our machines don’t throw tantrums.
If you’ve got experience working on electrical and electro-mechanical kit in a factory or manufacturing setting, you’ll fit right in. You’ll be diagnosing faults, fiddling with PLCs (mostly Siemens, but others too), and occasionally wondering why the thing that worked perfectly yesterday has decided to stop today.
You’ll also need to care about safety — because while we like problem-solvers, we’re not looking for heroes. We want you to go home with all your fingers.
What you’ll need
Level 3 qualification in Electrical Engineering (or higher)
Experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting
Knowledge of PLCs, motors, pneumatics and control systems
A healthy respect for Health & Safety
The ability to stay calm when something big and expensive stops working
Bonus points if you’ve got your 17th/18th Edition, an HNC/HND, or experience in heavy industry.
The shifts
4 on, 4 off - a mix of earlies (6:30am–6:30pm) and lates (11am–11pm) - NO NIGHTS
The package
Up to £55,586 (including allowances/bonuses)
25 days holiday + bank holidays (pro-rated for shift workers)
Pension scheme
Holiday buy/sell options
Life assurance (2x salary)
Wellbeing and financial support programmes
Employee discounts on all sorts of useful stuff
If you’re an electrically biased engineer who doesn’t shy away from a challenge — and you like the satisfaction of fixing what everyone else can’t — then you might just like it here.
