Salary: £40,000 – £60,000 (DOE) + Benefits

About the Role
Anglian Recruitment are proud to be working in partnership with a well-established and expanding electrical contractor based in Norwich, who are seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator to join their growing team.
This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a company with a strong reputation across commercial, industrial and residential projects, known for delivering high-quality work and valuing its people.
As Electrical Estimator, you’ll play a key role in preparing accurate tenders, quotations and cost plans, ensuring competitive and profitable bids that reflect the company’s quality and expertise.
Key Responsibilities
*
Review tender documentation, drawings and specifications to prepare detailed electrical estimates
*
Source competitive supplier and subcontractor quotations
*
Produce comprehensive and accurate cost breakdowns
*
Liaise with clients, consultants and internal teams throughout the tender process
*
Support the bid and handover process to ensure smooth project transition
*
Attend tender meetings and site visits where required
*
Maintain accurate records, databases and supplier relationships
The Ideal Candidate
We’re looking for a confident, detail-focused and commercially aware individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced estimating environment.
You will ideally have:
*
Proven experience as an Electrical Estimator within electrical contracting or building services
*
Strong knowledge of electrical systems and installation practices
*
Excellent analytical, communication and negotiation skills
*
Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office
*
Ability to manage multiple tenders simultaneously and meet deadlines
Desirable:
*
HNC / HND / Degree in Electrical or Building Services Engineering
*
Experience within design & build environments
*
Local knowledge of the East Anglia market
