Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Estimator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for various projects, ensuring competitive pricing while maintaining quality standards. Duties

  * Analyse project plans, specifications, and drawings to develop comprehensive cost estimates

  * Collaborate with clients, suppliers, and internal teams to gather relevant pricing information

  * Prepare detailed proposals outlining labour, materials, equipment, and other costs

  * Monitor project budgets and update estimates as project scope evolves

  * Assist in negotiating with suppliers and subcontractors to secure favourable terms

  * Conduct market research to stay informed of current pricing trends and material costs

  * Implement cost control measures throughout the project lifecycle to optimise expenditure

  * Prepare reports and documentation for management review and decision-making

Qualifications

  * Proven experience in electrical estimating within the construction is a must

  * On-site experience is preferred but not essential

  * Strong understanding of cost control principles and techniques

  * Excellent organisational skills with high attention to detail

  * Proficient in relevant software tools such as MS Excel and estimating programmes

  * Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and contracts effectively

  * Strong communication skills to liaise confidently with stakeholders at all levels

  * Analytical mindset with the ability to assess risks and identify cost-saving opportunities
