Job Description

Electrical Project Engineer (Building Services Consultancy - Multi Sector Projects) A well-established building services consultancy is seeking an Electrical Project Engineer to join its growing team. The business delivers technically challenging projects across a wide range of sectors including residential, commercial, healthcare, pharmaceutical, sports, education, and mixed-use developments, working across both developer-led and contractor-led environments. This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative and ambitious consultancy with a strong pipeline of long-term project work, including schemes progressing through later design and delivery stages. Current and upcoming projects include large-scale residential developments, commercial schemes, healthcare facilities, football stadium developments, pharmaceutical projects, and later living schemes combining residential, healthcare, and retail elements. The Role The Electrical Project Engineer will support the delivery of complex electrical building services projects across all design stages, working as part of a wider engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for contributing to the technical delivery of multiple projects in fast-paced environments, assisting with electrical design coordination, producing calculations and technical information, and gradually developing into a more independent, client-facing role with increased responsibility. Key Responsibilities Support the delivery of electrical building services design across multiple sectors Assist in delivering projects through various RIBA stages from concept through to completion Produce electrical design calculations, supporting drawings, and technical documentation Use Excel-based calculation tools and AMTECH software packages for design development Apply strong working knowledge of CIBSE Guides and relevant industry standards Work across multiple projects and priorities within fast-paced delivery environments Coordinate with clients, contractors, consultants, and multidisciplinary design teams Attend project and design team meetings, supporting senior engineers Develop client-facing skills with increasing involvement in project communication Contribute to maintaining technical quality and delivery standards Support knowledge sharing within the team and assist junior engineers where appropriate What They're Looking For Technically skilled Electrical Project Engineer with 5 years of experience across building services systems Experience within an electrical building services consultancy environment Competent use of Excel-based calculation tools and AMTECH software Strong working knowledge of CIBSE Guides and industry standards Experience supporting the delivery of multi-sector projects Good understanding of project coordination within multidisciplinary teams Strong communication skills with an interest in developing client-facing experience Collaborative and proactive approach to project delivery Ambition to grow professionally into a more independent role with increased responsibility What's on Offer Competitive salary and benefits package, aligned with experience Opportunity to work on technically challenging and high-profile projects Strong long-term project pipeline across multiple sectors Supportive and collaborative working environment Clear opportunity for professional development and progression Exposure to both developer-led and contractor-led projects Hybrid working arrangement with flexibility built around team collaboration For more information about this opportunity, please contact Mica Wightman at Calibre Search on (phone number removed).
