Electrical Shift Engineer

Job Purpose
Reporting to the Contract Manager you will be working within the engineering maintenance team. You will provide all – round engineering support, maintaining the building infrastructure. You will have a detailed understanding of all new of current Building Services systems and contingency procedures within the buildings and complying with the Health & Safety/Building Codes of practice.
Job Responsibilities
* Emergency lighting
* Issue relevant site Permits as part of the Safe System of Work
* Completion of PPM and reactive tasks for their respective shift team
* Identification of materials required to be ordered in a timely manner and completion of the internal Materials Request Form (MRF1)
* Maintain effective shift handovers
* including critical plant status, plant isolations, issues arising, ongoing works, special task requests, standard of housekeeping
* Timely implementation and recording of statutory inspections including accurate recording.
* Control of 3rd party contractors including monitoring of work performance and standards, including internal auditing where applicable in conjunction with the Shift Manager
* AC, DC, single phase and three phase motors
Shift Rota
5 on – 3 off – 7 on – 2 off – 7 on – 4 off
Wk 1 on Mon – Fri / off Sat – Sun
Wk 2 off Mon / On Tues – Sun
Wk 3 On Mon / Off Tue – Wed / On Thur – Sun
Wk 4 On Mon – Weds / Off Thurs – Sun
Wk 1: Hours 08:00 – 18:00
Wk 2 – 4: Hours on days Mon – Fri 08:00 – 17:30 / Sat sun 08:00 – 17:00
Flexibility is required in order to complete the duties associated with the role.
