Are you ready to take on a pivotal role in ensuring safety and environmental excellence in the construction industry? We are seeking a passionate and dedicated EHS Leader to join our dynamic team for a temporary six-month contract, with the potential for extensions. Position: EHS Leader
Contract Type: Temporary (6 months, with extensions)
Location: Inchcape (commutable distance required)
Daily Rate: £500 (Outside of IR35)
Working Pattern: Full Time
Key Responsibilities:
As an EHS Leader, you will champion a culture of zero harm and sustainability while executing critical project phases:
Dispatch Phase:
Verify appropriate storage of hazardous substances and ensure chemical assessments are in place.
Construction/Installation & Commissioning Phases:
Conduct site inspections, ensuring that all notices are posted and fire risk assessments are initiated.
Mobilize project plans including Construction Phase Plans, TMPs, ERPs, and RAMS/Permits.
Establish project EHS Safety Representatives, ensuring communication is clear and effective.
Training and Induction:
Oversee the induction process for all personnel, delivering essential training and toolbox talks.
Ensure compliance with all site rules and monitor adherence, escalating any non-conformance.
Incident Management:
Gather information for accidents, conduct root cause investigations, and report findings promptly.
Develop weekly EHS Site Reports and communicate any incidents immediately to the management team.
Emergency Response:
Display emergency plans and facilitate local emergency drills to ensure preparedness across the site.
