Engineering Geologist - Maidstone

Location: Maidstone, Kent
Salary: £28,000 - £38,000 (depending on experience)
Job Type: Permanent | Full-Time

An excellent opportunity has become available for an Engineering Geologist to join a friendly and growing ground investigation consultancy based in Maidstone. This company has a close-knit team environment where every employee plays an important role in the success of projects and the continued growth of the business.

This role offers clear career progression and hands-on support from senior staff, making it an ideal opportunity for an Engineering Geologist looking to develop technically and progress into a more senior position over time. You will gain exposure to a wide variety of residential, commercial, and infrastructure projects across the South East.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervising and managing ground investigation works
Soil and rock logging in accordance with current British Standards
Carrying out site investigations including trial pits and boreholes
Preparing factual and interpretative ground investigation reports
Assisting with geotechnical assessments and foundation recommendations
Supporting contaminated land assessments and remediation projects
Liaising with clients, contractors, and internal teams
Ensuring health and safety standards are maintained on siteRequirements:

Degree in Engineering Geology, Geology, Geoscience, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline
Previous experience within ground investigation or geotechnical consultancy
Strong communication and report writing skills
Good understanding of geotechnical and contaminated land principles
Full UK Driving Licence
