Teacher Active is proud to be working with a thriving Academy in South Essex that is seeking to appoint an English Teacher on a permanent basis from September 2026. Rated ‘GOOD’ by OFSTED, the Academy promotes high standards, strong student achievement and a supportive culture, while investing heavily in staff development through its commitment to the SSAT Embedding Formative Assessment CPD programme over the next two years.

The Academy is looking to appoint an English Teacher on a full-time permanent basis. The successful English Teacher will deliver engaging English lessons across KS3 and KS4, support students of varying abilities to achieve their potential, and contribute positively to the wider life of the school. Applications are welcomed from English Teachers at all stages of their career, including ECTs and experienced practitioners.

The successful English Teacher will have:

• QTS with an English specialism (ECTs are welcome to apply)
 • Experience teaching English across KS3 and KS4
 • Strong classroom management skills
 • A commitment to raising attainment and student progress
 • Excellent communication and organisational skills
 • A positive and proactive approach to teaching and learning
