Job Title: English Teacher / Maternity Cover

Location: Bristol

Start Date: September

Salary: £31,650 - £49,084 per annum

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a mainstream secondary school based in Bristol, who are looking to appoint a dedicated English Teacher. The school is committed to creating a positive and inclusive learning environment, encouraging students to develop confidence, creativity, and a passion for learning through high-quality teaching and support.

The school is looking to take on an English Teacher on a full-time maternity cover basis from September. The successful English Teacher will be responsible for delivering engaging English lessons across Key Stage 3 / KS3 and Key Stage 4 / KS4, supporting students of varying abilities and maintaining high standards of classroom management and attainment.

The successful English Teacher will have:

QTS with an English specialism

Experience teaching English up to Key Stage 4 / KS4

Excellent classroom management skills

Strong communication and organisational abilities

The ability to plan and deliver engaging lessons

A positive and adaptable approach to teaching
