The Role:
As an Environmental Protection Officer, you’ll play a key role in protecting public health and the environment. You’ll be responsible for investigating statutory nuisances, noise complaints, and environmental crime, as well as enforcing relevant legislation.
✅ What We’re Looking For:
Proven experience working as an Environmental Protection Officer within a UK local authority
Strong knowledge of environmental health legislation, particularly in relation to statutory nuisance and pollution control
Ability to manage a varied caseload independently
Excellent communication and report-writing skills
EHORB registration or equivalent qualification preferred
💼 Contract Details:
Duration: 6 months (with potential for extension)
Rate: £40–£45 per hour (DOE, umbrella)
Location: South East England
Working Pattern: Flexible hybrid or fully remote options available
