Job Title: Estimator

We are recruiting for an experienced Estimator to join a well-established regional main contractor based in Ipswich, delivering a wide range of projects across education, healthcare, commercial, residential, and public sector schemes.
The role involves preparing accurate cost estimates and competitive tenders from initial enquiry through to submission, working closely with pre-construction and operational teams to help secure new work across the region.
Key responsibilities:
* Prepare detailed cost estimates and tender submissions
* Carry out take-offs and review drawings/specifications
* Obtain and analyse subcontractor/supplier quotations
* Identify value engineering opportunities
* Liaise with clients, consultants, and internal teams
* Support bid submissions and project handovers
Requirements:
* Experience as an Estimator with a main contractor
* Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail
* Ability to price projects independently
* Good communication and negotiation skills
