Job Description

We seek a key member of the senior management team, working closely with the Executive Head of Childcare Services to oversee the day-to-day management of childcare across three local authority maintained nursery provisions, ensuring high-quality early education and childcare.

Key Responsibilities:

  * Support and deputise for the Executive Head of Childcare Services as required.

  * Manage and oversee the operations of three nursery provisions, ensuring high standards of care and education.

  * Contribute to the development of the ethos, policies, and practices of the centres.

  * Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, guidance, and quality standards in early years provision.

  * Act as Deputy for the Executive Head of Children Centre Services during periods of absence.

Requirements:

  * Experience in senior nursery or early years management.

  * Experience working within local government or local authority education/childcare services.

  * Strong knowledge of early years education, childcare standards, and legislation.

  * Leadership and team management skills.

  * Commitment to high-quality provision and continuous improvement
