The Role
As an EYFS Teaching Assistant, you will:
* Support learning across the Early Years environment
* Assist with child-initiated and adult-led activities
* Promote children’s social, emotional and language development
* Work 1:1, in small groups and with the whole class
* Help create a safe, stimulating and engaging learning environment
* Support the teacher with observations, progress notes and evidence gathering
* Build positive relationships with pupils, staff and families
* Contribute to the school’s warm, inclusive ethos every day
This is an ideal role for someone with a passion for Early Years, creativity, and a nurturing approach.
What We’re Looking For
* Experience supporting children in EYFS (school or nursery-based)
* A gentle, encouraging and proactive approach
* Good communication and team-working skills
* Ability to support learning through play, exploration and early literacy/number skills
* Someone who is patient, positive and genuinely invested in children’s wellbeing and development
Pay & Contract Details
* Start date: January 2026
* Pay:£90–£100 per day, depending on experience
* Contract: Term-time, long-term role
* Location: Shocklach, Cheshire West
* Full support throughout from Darren and the Astro team
