Job Description
About the Role:
We are seeking a compassionate, reliable, and professional Family Contact Worker to support families in maintaining safe and positive contact between children and their family members. You will be responsible for supervising, facilitating, and recording contact sessions in line with safeguarding protocols.
Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and facilitate contact sessions between children and family members, ensuring a safe, child-focused environment
*
Observe and assess interactions, maintaining accurate and objective records
*
Provide emotional support and guidance to children and families during sessions
*
Liaise with social workers and other professionals to share observations and contribute to care plans
*
Ensure the safeguarding and wellbeing of all children at all times
*
Transport children to and from contact sessions as required
About You:
*
Previous experience working with children, families, or in a social care setting
*
Strong understanding of safeguarding principles and child protection
*
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
*
Ability to remain calm, empathetic, and professional in emotional or challenging situations
*
Good report-writing and observational skills
*
Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (desirable but not always essential)
*
Relevant qualifications in health & social care, childcare, or similar (desirable)Before You Apply
