Hamilton Woods are partnering with an excellent and growing business in the heart of Leicestershire who are looking for a Financial Accountant to join their expanding team. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain broad exposure across financial reporting, controls, and audit, within a fast-paced, supportive environment. You'll work closely with senior stakeholders to ensure robust financial governance, drive process improvements, and play a key role in the continued growth of the business.
This role offers genuine development and progression, with clear potential to step into a senior finance position within 12-24 months.
Key Responsibilities
Preparation of monthly and quarterly financial statements in line with accounting standards
Full ownership of balance sheet reconciliations and control accounts
Support with statutory accounts preparation and year-end audit processes
Assist in the preparation of regulatory and tax returns (VAT, Corporation Tax, etc.)
Maintain and improve financial controls and processes to ensure accuracy and compliance
Provide insightful financial analysis to support decision-making
Support system and process improvements within the finance functionRole Requirements
Finalist or fully qualified ACCA / ACA / CIMA
Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and integrity of financial data
Highly organised and able to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Advanced Excel and IT skills
Excellent communication skills with the ability to build strong working relationships across departments
