Food Safety Officer
Location: 9 Holbeach Road, Catford, London, SE6 4TW
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Duration: 3+ Months
Working Hours: Mon – Fri, 09:00 – 17:00, 37 Hours per week
Pay Rate: £ 30.88 per hour

Responsibilities
Conduct food hygiene inspections, food standards inspections, and re-visits in line with the Food Law Code of Practice.
Provide expert advice to businesses and residents.
Carry out enforcement action including notices, prosecutions, and legal proceedings.
Person Specification
At least 2 years of recent experience as a fully authorised officer in a UK local authority conducting food hygiene and food standards inspections.
EHRB registration (or equivalent).
Demonstrated competency under the Food Law Code of Practice.
A minimum of 20 hours food safety CPD over the past 2 years.
Confidence in working independently, making critical decisions, and managing a varied caseload.
Strong communication and enforcement skills.
