Are you organised, practical, and passionate about supporting young people in developing essential life skills? Our welcoming secondary school in Cheltenham is seeking a dedicated Food Technician to join the Food & Nutrition department.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare ingredients, equipment, and resources for practical food lessons
Ensure kitchens and food rooms meet health & safety and food hygiene standards
Support students during practical lessons
Manage stock, order supplies, and maintain accurate inventory
Maintain and clean equipment, including routine checks
Assist with displays, resources, and extracurricular activities such as cooking clubs
The Ideal Candidate:
Experience in a school food technology environment or professional kitchen (preferred)
Strong understanding of food hygiene and safety procedures
Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
Friendly, reliable, and able to work independently
Proactive attitude and willingness to support staff and students
