Job Description
Our client, a freight forwarder based in Basildon is looking for a candidate to work on in their Inside Sales department.
General duties, answering incoming calls, liaising with customers and overseas offices by phone and email. Deep-sea shipping experience either as a Freight Forwarder or with a line is desired. Full training will be provided.
* Quoting customers to defined KPI’s providing good customer service. Quotes to be prepared using both contract rates and spot rate platforms from carriers. Quotations to be presented to clients via our operating system
* Building relationships with suppliers and clients alike to the benefit of the business
* Generating leads and opportunities working with external sales to extend our existing client base
* Targeted follow up looking to increase conversion. Pro-active efforts to manage and develop our customer base
* Working closely with our operations team on converted business, ensuring a smooth transition from quote to bookin
* Reporting directly to the FCL Sales ManagerBefore You Apply
