Gas Engineering trainer (Full training provided) 

Stevenage

£35000- £42,675 + Full Training + £6,000 Bonus + Progression to £42,000+ + Excellent Pension + Mileage + 34 Days Holiday

In this role, you'll support apprentices through the full Gas Engineering Apprenticeship standard, helping learners develop both their technical ability and workplace confidence. You'll also support competence-based learners with portfolio completion and play a key role in the future development of Plumbing & Heating apprenticeship delivery.

This position would suit somebody from a Gas, Plumbing & Heating or Mechanical background who wants to step away from the pressures of industry into a role where they can coach, mentor and develop future engineers. Candidates must have a level 3 qualification in gas or plumbing and heating 

You'll work closely with employers and apprentices, supporting learners throughout their journey through practical training, assessments, reviews and ongoing development. The role combines hands-on industry knowledge with coaching and mentoring, allowing you to make a genuine difference while maintaining excellent work-life balance.

The organisation will also fully support you with teaching and assessor qualifications, so previous teaching experience is not essential.

The Role
 *Delivering and supporting Gas Engineering Apprenticeship training
 *Supporting competence-based learners with portfolio completion
 *Working with employers and apprentices to support learner progress
 *Carrying out learner reviews, assessments and coaching
 *Supporting the future delivery of Plumbing & Heating apprenticeship programmes
 *Using OneFile and digital learning systems to track learner development
 *Full teacher training and assessor qualifications provided
 *Monday to Friday role with excellent benefits and pension

The Person

*Background in Gas Engineering, Plumbing & Heating or similar
 *Relevant industry qualifications (level 3) or strong occupational experience
 *Keen to move into a training, tutoring or assessor role
 *Passion for developing apprentices and sharing industry knowledge
 *Strong communication and organisational skills
 *Based within commutable distance of Stevenage
