General Assistant

Location: London Gatwick Airport

Hours: Full time - Shifts will operate between 5am-11pm and you must be fully flexible for any shifts between these hours across the week. Weekend working is expected

Pay rate: £13.39 p/h

Contract length: Temporary ongoing

Blue Arrow is currently recruiting General Assistants to join our client in a successful and fast‑paced operation at Gatwick Airport. This is a key role supporting airline customers by ensuring catering products and equipment are prepared and delivered on time, in line with strict schedules and quality standards.

The Role

As a General Assistant, you will be working in one of the following areas of the business:

Production

Preparing and plating food
Handling packed food items
Packing amenity kits and flight condimentsEquipment

Stacking and organising shelves
Stock rotation
Re‑ordering dry stockWash

General cleaning duties
Waste removal
Washing airline equipment to required industry standards 

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must:

Be able to handle pork and alcohol products
Be comfortable standing for long periods and have good mobility
Be able to work in a chilled environment
Have a basic understanding of English
