GSL Education Kent are delighted to offer an exciting opportunity for a qualified Teacher of Geography to join a forward-thinking and supportive school in Ashford starting in September 2025.

As a Teacher of Geography, you will play a key role in promoting curiosity about the world and helping students develop an understanding of key geographical concepts, global issues, and sustainability. You’ll be joining a department passionate about delivering high-quality education that connects classroom learning with real-world experiences.
As a Geography Teacher, your responsibilities will include:
Planning and delivering engaging Geography lessons that cater to students of varying abilities
Teaching across KS3 and KS4 (with potential for KS5 depending on experience)
Encouraging students to think critically about the environment, societies, and global interdependence
Monitoring and assessing student progress, and providing effective feedback
Contributing to curriculum development and extra-curricular activities
Collaborating with colleagues to create a cohesive and inclusive learning environment
To be considered for the Geography Teacher role, you must:
Hold UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification
Have experience teaching Geography in a UK secondary school setting
Be confident in lesson planning, classroom management, and curriculum delivery
Demonstrate a passion for Geography and for fostering a love of learning in students
Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
