Head of Repairs - Housing Sector
Location: Central London
Salary: - £550- £600 Per day -
We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Head of Repairs to lead the delivery of responsive and complex repairs across our housing portfolio. This is a strategic leadership role with full accountability for budgets, teams, and operational performance.
🔑 What You'll Be Doing
Lead a team of Property Services and repairs staff
Full accountability for Disrepair Management, Damp & Mould prevention, and budgets
Deliver high-quality customer-focused services, embedding a culture of performance and value for money
Act as a strategic advisor at Board, Executive, and Resident Panel meetings
Ensure compliance with all safety, property, and regulatory requirements
Optimise trade-staff deployment, driving efficiency, performance, and KPI reporting
Oversee contractor works, ensuring value for money, quality, and H&S compliance
Participate in out-of-hours escalation rota and operational problem-solving
💼 Skills & Experience
Significant senior leadership experience, ideally in housing or repairs management
Proven ability to lead and inspire large, mobile teams
Strong budget management and commercial awareness
Knowledge of statutory regulation, housing legislation, and repair best practice
Experience analysing complex data to drive continuous improvement
Skilled communicator, confident presenting to executives, boards, and external stakeholders
Full driving licence and ability to travel as required
Desirable: Higher-level qualification in construction, Chartered Institute of Housing Level 5 (or equivalent), IOSH/NEBOSH H&S qualification
