Job Title: Locum Healthcare Assistant (HCA) – GP Surgery
Location: Oxford,Oxfordshire
Contract Type: Locum
Rate: £14.00-£15.00
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: Ongoing
We are looking for an experienced Locum Healthcare Assistant (HCA) to join our friendly and supportive GP practice team on a temporary basis.
Key Responsibilities:
*
Performing ECGs
*
Conducting phlebotomy (venepuncture)
*
Assisting with routine health checks
*
Supporting chronic disease management (e.g. blood pressure monitoring, urinalysis)
*
Assisting with immunisation clinics (under supervision, if trained)
*
Providing general clinical and administrative support to the nursing and GP teams
Requirements:
*
Minimum 6 months experience working as an HCA in a primary care or similar clinical setting
*
Competency in ECGs and phlebotomy (essential)
*
Up-to-date mandatory training
*
DBS certificate (or willing to undergo a check)
*
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
*
Ability to work autonomously and within a team
