Job Description

Staffline are currently recruiting 1 ongoing HGV Class 1 Driver for our client, a leading Food Distribution client based in Barnsley, committed to delivering high-quality confectionary goods to various locations across the UK. As part of our growth, we are looking for a skilled and dedicated HGV Class 1 driver to join our team working adhoc shifts across the week. 
 
Shifts: Days - We also have Adhoc shift requirements covering holidays and sickness. Occasional overtime available on weekends 
 
Start Times: Between 4 am - 6 am 
 
PAYE Rates: 
Weekday £16.95P/H 
Saturday £18.31 P/H 
Sunday £19.49 P/H 
 
Immediate starts available 
 
Your Time at Work 
Responsibilities: 
 
Perform Class 1 Depot Trunking work, delivering food products to different destinations throughout the UK. 
Ensure timely and safe transportation of goods while adhering to all traffic and safety regulations. 
Collaborate with the logistics team to coordinate deliveries and meet deadlines efficiently. 
Maintain accurate records of deliveries and complete necessary paperwork.

Our Perfect Worker 
- Holds a valid HGV Class 1 license with relevant CPC certification and Tacho card. 
- Proven experience as an HGV Class 1 driver, with a solid driving record. 
- Strong understanding of road safety regulations and compliance. 
- Ability to work long shifts, averaging 11+ hours, with a flexible approach to start times. 
- Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused mindset.
