Job Description

HGV Class 2 Driver – Temp to Perm

Location: Doncaster
Shift Pattern: Full time Monday to Friday

Salary: £16.50ph – time and half before 8:30am

(if you are open to over time and working weekends, this is time and half)

About the role:

Driver Hire is currently looking for a Class 2 Driver to join our client on a Temp to Perm basis located in Doncaster. Our client is a well-established and trusted UK business specialising in the supply, distribution, and delivery of construction, utilities, and infrastructure materials across the country.

Key responsibilities:

  * Delivering goods safely and efficiently across designated routes

  * Completing vehicle checks and relevant paperwork

  * Providing excellent customer service at delivery points

  * Comfortable with manual handling aspects of the role

  * Ensuring all deliveries are completed in line with company and legal requirements

What we’re looking for:

  * Valid Class 2 (Category C) Licence

  * Valid CPC and Tacho Card

  * Minimum of 6 months experience

  * A positive attitude and strong work ethic

  * Flexibility to complete the occasional night out (Tramping - approximately once every 3 weeks)

  * Good knowledge of driver hours and road safety regulations
